Rita Ora Was Upset About A$AP Rocky’s ‘Better Things’ Lyrics

A$AP Rocky had some less-than-flattering things to say about Rita Ora on “Better Things,” and although he’s semi-apologized for the “tasteless” comments, there’s no way to take that back since it’s literally on a record.

But, Rita Ora isn’t sweating it too much. The lyrics did bother her — but not for the reason you might expect.

During an interview with Nessa on New York’s Hot 97 Radio Station this week, the British singer took the high road, and began by explaining that she still supports Rocky professionally.

“I love his music and I love what he does, he looks dope, but for me it’s not about me,” she said. “It’s about what people think they can get away with, [when] speaking about women.”

Ora explained that she’s been so busy with her career, that the comments didn’t really affect her on a personal level. It’s about the bigger picture.

“I’m not looking at it like ’you’re upsetting me’ because I don’t actually give a sh-t,” she added. “I care about my business more than anything, so I actually don’t care. But I don’t want people to think it’s okay to speak about women like that. That’s it.

I don’t care what you say about me. I don’t give a flying f–k. I’m very happy with what I do, and I’m proud of who I am, and what I represent.”

Rocky’s spoken about the lyrics in a couple of interviews, but Ora says that if he really wants to apologize, he knows how to find her.
