Michael Jordan Invests $500,000 In Charlotte Literacy Programs

The NBA legend, entrepreneur, and majority owner of the Charlotte Hornets has announced that he, alongside other investors, has contributed to Charlotte’s literacy programs.

According to the Charlotte Observer, the money Jordan has investment will cover the cost of building and stocking to 18 libraries in community centers, preschools, educational non-profits, and child-care centers in low-income communities.

On Monday, over 400 volunteers for the Charlotte Hornet’s community service project, helped build 18 libraries in the area.
