Billed as a ‘Torrent of Sound and Style,’ Dark Matter is a Hip-Hop duo comprised of Singer/Dancer Destiny Claymore and Rapper/ Producer Mad S. The duo, meeting through dance, developed a sound of melodious, emotional tunes that earned them the name Dark Matter from the locals. After a few small projects and numerous performances, Dark Matter’s experiences and lives manifested into their first ever E.P. entitled, The Grave.’
As Dark Matter’s first official release, ‘The Grave’ E.P. represents a transitional period in the duo’s lives, depicted through sweeping soundscapes and hard hitting drums. The lyrical content expresses the difficult growth that comes with stepping away from the emotional baggage that can hold a person back.
