Compton Rapper Streeb Talks C.R.A.C.K Label, Dedicating Music To His Lost Friend, Not Sounding Like Other L.A Rappers, and More

– Who is Streeb?
Streeb is a 20 year old Artist/Entrepreneur who plans on influencing the world one idea at a time.

– Who are some of your musical influences? If you could sit down and chat with one of your influences, what is something you would ask or say to them about how their music was an impact on your career and/or life?
My music influences are Pac, Biggie, Jay-Z, Pharrell, Andre3000, Kanye (preferable the old Kanye.. but the new Ye is hard I just love the classic Kanye), J Cole, Kendrick, Drake, Tyler The Creator, Nip, Bryson Tiller, PND, Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, Big Sean Tory Lanez.. The list could go on for days but those guys I pretty much listen to everyday. TBH I would love the chance to sit down with any of those guys just to see what inspires them and I would forsure just want to thank em for being themselves and helping inspire me not only as an artist but in my day to day life.

-Tell me about CRACK music? What other artists are under this label?
C.R.A.C.K Music has actually now been switched over to C.R.A.C.KMusicClothing and the label is CreativeGenius which is home for myself, Parker, Josh Darcy, Tyrell, and my AMG Fam AyeG ( We are on the look out for a few other artist and producers as well #DontSleep). but basically C.R.A.C.K stands for Creative.Reality.Artistry.Collective.Knowledge. It’s deeper than just clothes it’s a lifestyle! We came up with the name because it was edgy but also we wanted to flip crack into a positive thing…. Crack was brought into our neighborhoods to ruin us as a people well we want to bring C.R.A.C.K back into our neighborhoods to empower not just our own people but the WORLD. If you are an artist of any kind Dancer, Pianist , Painter, Singer etc you should feel like whatever you create is C.R.A.C.K and will get your audience addicted enough to keep coming back for more!

-How does you style differ from other L.A based rappers?
I’m not afraid to be myself and I think in our generations of up n coming artist that’s been lost.. these guys out here focused on tryna sound like YG or Drake ( don’t get me wrong they make bangers but the message they bring is
complete garbage #SorryNotSorry) and get lost in the lane with everyone else. My parents raised me to never be a
follower so staying true been in me my whole life.

– Name some artists or producers you’ve worked with and you would like to work with?
The only producer I work with consistently is our producer Tyrell.. this guy is the next big thing I promise you!..
It’s an honor to grow with this dude. But I’ve gotten some tracks from ArjayOnTheBeat and been plotting up on some things with my brother AyeG (Stay Tuned!). As far as features go I’m currently working on 2 projects one
with Parker and one with the beautiful miss Kaylie. I would love to work with Chris Brown, Post Malone, Kanye, mannn… this list would never stop. Dr.Dre, Drake, Kendrick. This list would need a whole magazine itself lmao but those are some to name a few.

– Let’s talk about your single “Letter to Syd.” What does that song mean to you musically and personally?
Letter to Syd is a dedication to my best friend/ brother Sydney Dorsey who lost his life in a fatal car accident last year… This song means a lot because that was the first time I was really able to cry and get all that hurt and anger I had built up inside of me out since he had passed. Also it was my first solo song I dropped and to see my own words affect so many people just inspired me to go even harder.

– If you were sitting in front of Jay-Z, Dre, or Diddy and they wanted to sign you to their label and they asked why they should sign you, what would you say?
I would tell them nothing tbh and no disrespect to them but I prefer to stay independent.

– What do you want listeners to gain or take from your music?
I want them to gain a sense of independence… I wanna inspire them to be the best at whatever it is they wanna do.. anything is possible! If you can imagine it you can make it happen. And even if they don’t walk away with that if I could just make them think.. like really listen to what I’m saying that would be enough.

-What’s next? Mixtapes? Performances? Etc.
This year we got a lot coming! My debut project T.O.L ( I’m not gonna spell it out cause people love biting my ideas *cough cough you know who you are). I’m really excited about this one I’m taking my time to make sure y’all really feel every line! Parker and myself got C.R.A.C.K Music vol 1 coming. Then Kaylie and myself have our project, which is coming really soon! I’m working on some dope visuals for all 3 of those as well as getting ready for the first release of C.R.A.C.KMusicClothing. So it’s gonna be a busy year!

-Anything else you would like to say or add? How can fans get hold of you?
I want to thank you guys for the opportunity as well as everyone who has been supporting me since day 1 it really means a lot! I can be reached on Twitter and IG @Freestreeb and on soundcloud by: $treeb. Follow me so you guys can follow my path to success! *Dj Khaled voice LongLiveSyd and LongLiveBankRollFresh
